Jason Groves 'Officer Needs Aid'
On Monday September 24, 2018 Officer Jason Groves was working on duty at the Riverview Police Department when he received a call for a domestic. He was injured at the scene while trying to deescalate a violent situation. While he was in attempt to do this the right bicep of his arm was ruptured and torn away from the bone.
Officer Jason Groves now has to undergo surgery to reattach the muscle. This process is going to take several months to heal while going through physical therapy after his surgery. Currently he is being told he will be out of work for at least 4-6 months during this process. Unfortunately with workmen's compensation he will only be given 66% of his salary during this time. Officer Groves is also currently helping his mother cover the cost of her medications since being diagnosed with a very rare pancreatic disease, lupus, and connective joint tissue disease. Unfortunately her medicare does not cover all of the medicines she needs to survive particularly the digestive enzymes which are extremely expensive.
At this time Officer Groves is looking for any possible help you can provide for him and his mother and it is greatly appreciated.
