Jason was a beloved son, brother, nephew, cousin, and dear friend to those who knew him. He was there for everyone around him, especially his parents and his family. He loved cars and racing. Jason had a big heart, and a genuine smile to go with it. He was thoughtful, but also loved to play practical jokes on his family and friends. How many times did he make you laugh? What funny stories do you have about our Jay? But he was a rock for his parents in difficult times. He took care of his mother when she had a brain tumor, and his dad as he went through treatment for throat cancer. Having both recovered, Jason and his parents were trying to move forward and focus on the future. About a week after celebrating Easter with his close family, Jason was in a terrible car accident. Immediately his focus was to have the first responders call his parents and tell them what had happened and which hospital he was in. They were then and always his first priority. After arriving at the hospital with major injuries, he was given medication and did not regain consciousness. Like the strong, stubborn man that we all know, he fought for his life for almost a week. His parents and family spent countless hours at the hospital hoping and praying for him to wake up and make a positive turn. Sadly, he did not. He succumbed to his injuries and passed away. Currently his parents and family are grieving the immeasurable loss of their dear Jason, while also facing the unmentionable possibilities of financial burden. Remembering how genuine his heart was, let's all take a lesson from Jason and help those most important, his parents. Anything that can alleviate their pain and suffering a tiny bit will probably make Jason smile down and nod with a grateful smile on his face. Even the smallest amount will make a difference in helping Jason's family move forward.
