Jason Grammer Memorial Fundraiser

Hi, my name is Kelly Watts, and I am raising money to cover the medical costs and funeral expenses of my spouse. We married on 8 April 2017, just 7 years ago. We were happily married, with him working as a data entry specialist for an Insurance company, and I working as a support specialist in the accounting department for an education provider. Everything was going well until I developed Essential Tremors/Parkinson's in 2019, and had to leave my job because I couldn't perform my job. I applied for Social Security Disability in 2020, but have been turned down and I have an attorney representing me. Our relationship was still going strong despite our financial status. My husband was looking forward to starting a new job on Jan 16th 2024 with the IRS, and had turned in his 4 weeks notice to his former employer to take some time off in between jobs. But just before Christmas 2024, Jason was hospitalized for cardiac symptoms. He was hospitalized for a week, and released with medication. But on 2 January 2024 at 7:40 PM, he died of a sudden aortic dissection while we were sitting watching one of his favorite programs, Jeopardy. Since then, I have been left with no income, and debt from our medical bills and his funeral expenses in excess of 48,000.00. I buried the love of my life on 11 January 2024, and have had to navigate my new life challenges with the assistance of friends and family. My friends suggested setting up this page, and have helped me write and post it.
