Help Jason Ebelheiser breathe again!

Donation protected
Hi I am Jessie Reines, here to raise up Jason's story and help him with funding for his medical course.

Jason would never ask for help. Hence, here we are asking for him! A guy that will always help you. If you’ve asked for his help in the past, he will drop a project to assist you. Unbeknownst to many he has been fighting silently for years, searching for answers. Never allowing his medical problems to fall on to others, he holds it well. Work lately has not been an option; this is out of character for J. He loves what he does. Fun activities are almost non-existent due to lack of energy from lack of sleep, also very out of character for the sky jumping, back flipping adrenaline junky.

Imagine not being able to BREATHE.
Symptoms: insomnia, headaches, neck/jaw tension, extreme fatigue, anxiety, depression, breathlessness, shallow breathing, inability to breathe deeply, restricted breathing, breath holding.

Years of adaptation and being told “you’re fine, it’s all mental, just take pills”. We are talking ten plus years of struggling to find an answer. Insomnia, maybe it is depression and anxiety. He became a walking pharmacy in attempt to find relief. Try this treatment, no you have a vision disorder try these glasses, oh wait maybe it’s not that. You just need a CPAP machine when you sleep at night, WRONG. Years of lack of sleep have added up. Misdiagnosis after misdiagnosis, bill after bill. Searching for answers that do not follow in suit of the medical system have a high out of pocket cost. Self-advocation has a price in our modern-day society.

Contradicting sleep studies, in hospital study displayed no problems, at home indicated moderate sleep apnea. Finally, he has a diagnosis to work with, severe obstructive sleep apnea. One of the smallest palates fixed by a surgeon recently. See the photos, it is GNARLY! The 10% improvement in breathing did not happen after correction. Subsequent braces to bring his 12mm gap back together, but the biggest surgery is yet to come. His airway is TINY.

A recent procedural sleep endoscopy surprised the doctor. The severity of airway obstruction was shocking.

The only way to correct will be a surgery:
maxillomandibular advancement with possible 3-piece Le-Fort and/or genioplasty. Essentially Jason needs to have his jaw cut and moved forward to create airspace, opening the constricted airway in order to allow him to breathe.

In the quest to get better he has spent money beyond his means. Maxed out financially, physically and mentally: hence we are finally at the point where he is okay if I ask for help on his behalf. This procedural cost is projected to be over $200,000. This on top of what he has already spent over a decade of ZERO answers.

Thank you for reading this. Thank you for helping! If you have any questions, feel free to message me.
