Jason DeZurik suffered a major stroke on Friday, December 15, 2017.  He was life flighted to Columbus, Ohio where he underwent brain surgery.

Right now he is doing well for just having a major stroke and brain surgery.  The goal is to keep him doing well, so they monitor him continually.  They wake him up every hour asking him questions to see if he is able to answer them correctly.  They will be checking him like this for 5 days as his brain could start to swell again.

The doctors said they caught this just in time.  If they would have waited one more hour we may have lost him.

His personality is the same and he has strong muscle movement.  He has double vision and vertigo which is causing a great deal of dizziness and balance issues.  He has been able to stand once and sit up for a very short time.

Therapy will not be able to begin until the drain tube in his brain is removed.  Right now it's one step at a time.  He is still in the Neuro ICU and we do not know when he will be moved to a different unit.  We also do not know how long he will be in the hospital.

This go fund me page was started because people were wondering what they can do to help.  Knowing there are  medical bills and expenses mounting with even more to come, this is one way to help the family.

Please continue to pray for healing and restoration.  We know God has Jason in His hands.
