Jason Costa funeral fund

Alma and Jason Costa have a bond like no other and have always put others first. I have known both of them for around half of my life and the love and bond that they shared is one many of us dream of having. Alma and Jason were married in 2004 in a beautiful ceremony and have a large and amazing family. I was working with them at Coming Home, an after school program along with participating in Guardian Angels with them. We shared a common goal of helping the youth and bettering our community. A goal I think we were reaching. You see Alma and Jason were real and it feels like they easily accepted me into their family. I could write many stories about how the two of them helped me through tough times as could hundreds of other people. I'm sure of this because they made all of us feel special and respected. After leaving Coming Home Alma and Jason joined the staffs at Washington Middle School in Green Bay and East High School respectively. While there, they continued to work their magic. As if that wasn't enough they took on another project...Padres, which was an after school program at Washington. Eventually they traded in school badges for a semi and they were able to travel around more of the country. Alma and Jason were inseparable in the most beautiful way ever. They created a legacy and so many of us are grateful to be able to say we know them. As much as beautiful words fill my head to describe what I feel for them I am completely heartbroken to have to try to write it on a GoFundMe page because sometimes our best laid plans take an unexpected turn based on God's plan instead of our plan. Jason overcame health problems before, but unfortunately not this time.

In early December both Alma and Jason got covid and were off of work. Not being able to work meant there has not been income for over a month. Unfortunately, Jason's body could not fight off the virus. The healthcare workers tried their best to help Jason and he ended up on a ventilator on January 1, 2022. Jason came out of isolation and Alma, along with their daughter Kari, were able to spend time with him before his body just couldn't fight anymore. This is where I'm asking for help. Over a month without income, increasing medical bills and now a funeral is too much for one person to handle alone. If you could spare any help I know it would be greatly appreciated, or if you'd like to donate in person let me know and I can get you the information.

Thank you.
