Jason Anthony's Recovery
Donation protected
Our dear friend and collaborator Jason Anthony has played a huge role in the regional music scene for nearly 3 decades. From his days at IUP playing with Absence of L, to his tenure with Mind’s I, Moon Drag, Anger the Ant, and work with a multitude of other musicians, Jason has been an in-demand drummer who has proven time-and-again to be generous with his time and talents. Earlier this year, Jason suffered a huge blow when a severe infection necessitated the amputation of his left leg below the knee. Suddenly Jason’s life was forever changed. While Jason is undergoing physical therapy to regain his strength and learn to walk again with a prosthetic, he has been doing so on unpaid medical leave. Obviously, bills (both medical and otherwise) are piling up, and a multitude of unplanned expenses to retrofit Jason’s home for single-level living are on the immediate horizon.
Some of Jason’s friends / musical collaborators have set up this Go-Fund-Me page to help collect donations for Jason’s immediate needs and ongoing care. Additionally, Mind’s I (the band with which Jason has spent the most time) has set up a reunion benefit show to raise additional money. The show will be on Friday, December 2 at The Monroe Hotel in Butler, PA. We hope to see many of Jason’s family, friends, and musical collaborators at the event, but we understand that not everyone will be able to make it. We humbly ask that you donate whatever you can to help Jason through this time and move into a better future. Thank you!
