Jason and Isabel Cantrell Medical Expenses

Hi. My name is Jaime and I created this to raise funds for Jason and Isabel Cantrell that will go straight to them.

For those of you that know Jason and Isabel, you know that they are always full of energy, laughter and very giving.  Recently Jason has been stricken with a serious life-threatening medical issue and they urgently need some (a lot of) help.

I am blessed to say that Jason is an incredible stepdad to me and Isabel's boys and because of that, Jason became a part of our big and loud blended family of 11 in no time. Jason is THAT GUY you always hoped would be a stepdad to your kids.  As y’all know, Jason is a very positive person, a happy friend, and always energetic. Right now he is working hard to recover and get back to Isabel, the boys, and the dogs.

Here are the details:

A few months ago, Jason injured his head in a freak accident. When he was taken to the doctor, he was told he had a traumatic brain injury that would take time to heal.

Fast forward to last week... Jason was rushed by ambulance to the ER and was diagnosed with a massive chronic stroke which is believed to be tied to the brain trauma he experience months ago.

Isabel has been working fewer hours than normal because she has spent much of her time checking constantly to get updates on his progress. It has been a full-time effort on the phone trying to get the insurance to cover what is denied and tracking neurologists and surgeons.

Unfortunately, they are having a difficult time getting the neurologists to come and assist with more detailed examinations. She is constantly calling to see if there are cancellations to see if they can see Jason. Now, they are ignoring her calls. She has resorted to walking into the buildings to talk directly to receptionists so they can put a face on the wife that will not stop calling to help her husband get the care he needs. On top of that, she has been keeping up with all the responsibilities of their home. As you may have guessed, the bills keep coming and are now piling up. And, I just learned that the deductible for Jason’s treatment itself is close to $10K! At this point, Isabel and Jason need help to keep this additional financial stress off their shoulders.
