Jason and his family during this difficult time

Hi my name is Stacy and I'm fundraising for Jason Hoose and family.

The family of Noel and Jason Hoose have endured a great deal over the past few years and could really use your support.

As you may know, Jason was diagnosed with Small Cell Lung Cancer in 2020. After completing 30 rounds of radiation to his chest and 4 cycles of chemotherapy, he was told in March 2021 he was cancer free. The family couldn’t have been more relieved, but this respite was short-lived. Just a few months later, Jason discovered his cancer had returned and spread after routine scans in July 2021.

While the news was devastating, the family stayed positive, and Jason completed another round of chemotherapy. Thankfully, his next set of scans showed a decrease in tumor size and no progression of the disease and in October 2021, Jason was placed on immunotherapy.

Noel had also been coping with her own physical ailments while trying to support her husband through his cancer treatments. In October of 2021, she received back surgery for a herniated disk with every intention to be able to go back to work, but sadly, her back surgery failed and she lost her job as a nurse after 21 years of service…subsequently losing the family’s health insurance.

Jason’s CT scans June 2022 showed the tumors had grown again and was ordered to receive 1 round of chemotherapy every 3 weeks for 24 weeks (8 total treatments). This particular type of chemotherapy is excruciatingly painful. Anyone that knows Jason knows he can handle pain, but this chemotherapy really has been some of the worst pain he's ever been through.

All three girls are currently living at home to help with day-to-day chores and tasks but as you can imagine, the bills have been piling up. Although the entire family is trying to stay optimistic and focusing on Jason’s treatment, this has been an extremely difficult time for them.

We are collecting monetary donations to help alleviate the financial pressures this family has continued to experience as they help Jason fight his battle.
