Hello Family and Friends,

Four years ago, we were blessed to have the opportunity to go to Ibarra, Ecuador on a mission trip. It was truly an amazing experience as we shared the Gospel and got to be a part of people accepting Christ as their Lord and Savior and changing their lives forever. My wife Sue Ellen, Chris, my parents, and I all went on the trip as we had three generations serving together.

One story from the 2019 trip -
My father and Chris visited a woman who had cancer and was starting chemotherapy the next day and she didn’t think she was going to survive. She did not know God and had a very unsettled feeling about cancer and everything in her life. They shared the Gospel with her, and she said she has never heard anything like that before. They spent over an hour talking and sharing and she decided to accept Christ. After praying she said she felt happy and at peace and that whatever happened she was going to praise God for everything.

It’s amazing what God can do.

We are privileged to now have another opportunity to go on a mission trip to Ecuador and Chris and I feel led to go. Our church, Fellowship CrossPoint, has partnered with a church in Colinas De Ceibo, Ecuador and recently our church packed 100,000 meals for the community. On this mission trip, we will be delivering those meals and:

  • Building a playground in a community that will "give the children a childhood.” This is because children are put to work as soon as they are old enough.
  • Expand gospel witness to children in Ecuador. Our work will be with Kids in Ecuador, and we will have the opportunity to participate and help in their kid's clubs that share the gospel with kids.
  • Encourage and build up Christians in Ecuador. Our presence and fellowship will encourage local believers in their work and build relationships as our church is developing an ongoing support relationship in Colinas De Ceibo.

Even though my father won’t be able to go on any more mission trips as he went to be with his Lord and Savior in 2021, Chris and I are honored to carry on the faith and love for Christ that he instilled in us as we go on our second trip to Ecuador to share the Gospel and make a difference in others lives.

We ask that you pray for us and the people of Colinas De Ceibo. We are excited to see what God is going to do for the children in the community. Please also consider donating to help us cover the cost of the trip. The trip is 31-Jul to 08-Aug and will cost $5400 for the two of us. The funds will be used to cover travel expenses, translators, and playground supplies.

Thank you for your prayer and support. We can’t wait to see what exciting things God will do.

From Chris:

As I will be heading to college this summer, I was looking for an opportunity for outreach one last time before my schedule becomes filled with college and the activities that follow. After hearing about the Ecuador trip, I was sure that this was meant for me and signed up. I would love to have the opportunity to share the love of God alongside my friends and my dad with the members of the community.
