Jasmine's Medical Journey Needs Your Help

My son’s big sister, Jasmine Cummings, has been admitted to Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital as of 05/08/2025. Jasmine is a 14 year old girl, who has recently been diagnosed with SLE (Systemic lupus erythematosus is a long-lasting, known as chronic, illness that can affect many parts of the body. These can include joints, skin, kidneys, blood cells, brain, heart and lungs.) She has received multiple blood transfusions after being admitted to Vanderbilt Children’s hospital. The doctors have not managed to balance her hemaglobin out and are monitoring that as well as her kidney function very closely.

We don’t know how long she will be in the hospital for, or how much work her mom will have to miss over the next few weeks/months as they find a proper treatment plan for Jasmine.

Jasmine’s mom is a single mother of 3, and has been at the hospital with her since she has been admitted. Leaving her two youngest children in the care of family and friends. Her job doesn’t offer PTO or Sick leave. As the only provider for her family, any donations will go towards medical expenses and compensating missed work.
