My name is Jasmine, and I was born and raised in the Bay Area, California. I started UO as a Freshman last year and was part of an ARC Community (Academic Residential Community) in Media & Social Action. I am a Journalism major with a minor in Political Science and have visions for our future!! I had the chance to live in the dorms, took amazing classes, held a part-time job at the Student Athletic Rec (I will continue this work in September when I return), and thrived in all areas of college life. I am entering my Sophomore Year at the University of Oregon. Go Ducks! I LOVE this school. Its leadership, professors, athletics, and diversity have already allowed me to flourish!

I am doing everything I can this summer to raise money while also taking summer courses ( straight A's) as they are less expensive and flexible for me to deliver groceries and do side jobs. Determined!

With out-of-state tuition, single-parent household and working as much as possible, I am falling short of continuing my college path. I am motivated, kind, full of integrity and believe in people. I am reaching out in hopes of supporting a portion of my $39,000 tuition bill.

My future is EVERYTHING to me, and I am grateful for any help this community would be able to help me with. I love learning. My work ethic and grades are fabulous, and I give back to my community where I can.
