She recently wrote a birthday message to me (see below) speaking about the beautiful friendship we have come to build, so much of it having grown over our distance, her on the east coast and me on the west coast. While distance has indeed been a marker of our friendship , for once I want her to hold my hand in this once in a lifetime event.
