I would like you to meet my beautiful stepdaughter, Jasmine (Maile). While in London, she was involved in a serious accident. During the past 6 years, Jasmine has been a dedicated Science teacher for middle and high school students in the state of New York. Recently, Jasmine had made the decision to move back to the west coast to be closer to her family. She planned to continue in the field of teaching—which she very much loves. While waiting for her new teaching position to begin, she received the opportunity to go to Europe.

She was visiting many of the museums that Europe has to offer. She had planned to use this experience in her future teachings.
 

Accident: May 11, 2018

During the second week of May (right before Mother’s Day) she was riding a bike in London and was ran over by a cement truck.

Currently, she is in a London hospital.  She has had three operations to date.  The first one was to stabilize her and to perform skin grafts; the next two surgeries were to begin reconstructive surgery on her hand and leg.  Both of the surgeries have been quiet extensive.  She will not be able to travel back to the United States for at least a month.   Once Jasmine returns she will need to continue with physical therapy and possibly more surgeries.
