Hello, my name is Jasmine Jade Sinnott-Klenotich and I am an incoming freshman at The Juilliard School as well as the first female from Brevard County to be accepted for the dance division. Many family and friends have asked what I need to move to New York City. I am not in need of physical items since my dorm room is tiny and there is not much space to put anything, so I thought it would be easiest to start a GoFundMe to help with my journey to Juilliard. No gift is too small and any amount is greatly appreciated. Any and all contributions will go towards room & board, travel fees, school/dance supplies, etc. Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for helping me fulfill my dream of attending The Juilliard School. I'm a small-town girl about to live a big dream.

Prescreens/Audition Process:

Back in November 2021, I started gathering all the materials needed for the prescreens—videos, essays, recommendation letters, transcripts, etc. On December 23rd, I got a notification that I received a callback—making it the best Christmas ever. From then to March 1st, I prepared for each part of the callback audition in hopes of making it to the final round. My mom and I flew to New York for a quick 36-hour trip for the audition, not knowing the outcome. The audition consisted of 3 rounds—1. ballet, modern, choreography/improv class, 2. solo (which I self-choreographed), 3. interview. After each round, I patiently waited to hear "#19" called that I made the cut.

Fast forward to March 21st, the day that I received "the call" that I was accepted into this prestigious school. It is truly an honor to be 1 of 12 girls among only 24 dancers accepted annually from around the world, as well as being the first female from Brevard County in the dance division. Attending The Juilliard School has been a dream of mine since I was 13 years old and is slowly becoming a reality.

I will always remember my roots and where I came from, and promise to come back and share what I learned, hoping to be an inspiration to many young dancers in my community.
