Jasmine Go To The 2022 USA Yoga Nationals!!!

I’m Jasmine Pinson, mother to 2 amazing boys, Vijay (16) & Josiah (10), and wife to my awesome husband, Victor. 

20 years ago I was diagnosed with Lupus Nephritis. I had almost died from complications with my kidneys and suffered from a pulmonary embolism (a blood clot in my lungs). 

My poor lifestyle choices in addition to depression, anxiety, and stress led me to, at only 21 years old, doctors advising against me having children. This only exasperated my growing thoughts of helplessness. 

Yoga has helped me regain my health back in mind, body, and spirit. 

Competition has helped me continue to grow in my faith and strengthened my diligence in practicing yoga. I have found a community of other inspiring athletes and friends that have encouraged me on this journey to bring the message of hope & God’s love to the world.   

Through consistent hard work and incredible encouragement, I had placed 2nd in the Women’s Division (ages 18-49yrs) at the West Coast States Regional Virtual Competition this past February, which led to me being invited to compete in-person at the 2022 Yoga Nationals in Iowa July 30-31!  

I’m fundraising to help ease the financial burden on my family for training and travel expenses.

It would be an honor to represent the state of California this year.
