Friends and family, as incredibly difficult as it is for me, I must inform you that our good friend Jasmine has stage 4 colon cancer.
In April Jasmine went to the emergency room complaining of a pain, and the hospital quickly realized that it was much more serious than she ever could’ve expected. Preliminary opinions of emergency physicians were that Jasmine had an aggressive form of cancer.
In early May Jasmine went in for a surgery to remove a large mass. Originally surgeons were optimistic that the procedure had gone well, but Jasmine’s condition quickly deteriorated and she was rushed into another surgery as she was quickly losing blood, and had to be transferred into the ICU for seven days and was sedated with a breathing machine.
Jasmine is a hard working single mom of two boys ages 8, and 17. In December Jasmine and her boys moved into a beautiful home in Crown Point. Since becoming ill Jasmine has been unable to work a regular schedule, which has left her in a financial bind as she juggles growing medical bills, prescriptions, as well as regular monthly bills.
I’m blessed to call Jasmine a best friend, as she is one of the hardest working and selfless people I’ve ever met. Time and time again in life she has put the needs of herself behind everyone else, and I’m asking that we can all come together to help Jasmine in this time of need.
