Jasmin back to Texas Southern University

I am Jasmin M. Kemp a rising Senior at Texas Southern University in Houston, Texas.  I'm a first-generation college student and a child of a single parent and due to the death of my father in 2013 of gun violence on the streets of Chicago at the age of 14, I was inspired to make a difference in my life and those in my community.  

I have always enjoyed reading growing up and have had the opportunity to travel to four countries, which led me to major in English Literature and minor in the Spanish Language.  I have been awarded Honors each year of my collegiate career.  I serve as Vice President for the Chicago club, a Resident Assistant for upperclassmen, and I intern for Young Invincibles, where I advocate proper higher education and healthcare for young adults.  

After college, I plan to take my mission further by volunteering in the Peace Corps for two years and upon my return continue my education with a Master of Arts in English Literature.

I need financial support with paying my balance of $3,000.00 by July 31, 2020, in order to return to TSU to complete my final year on time.  I will greatly appreciate you for helping me reach my financial goals.
