Jasinski family fire recovery fund

On June 5, a large fire broke out at a townhouse complex in Mississauga, where Jakub's dad lives. Luckily no one was killed or injured, and Jakub’s dad made it out safely, but the fire caused extensive damage to the building, including to his unit. 

His dad has been displaced by the fire and lost many, if not most, of his belongings. He is now staying with Jakub and his partner at their place in mid-Toronto, and it sounds like it will be many months before he is able to return to his home. 

Without getting into too many details, this caps off a challenging period for Jakub’s dad and their family.

We wanted to launch this fundraising campaign to help Jakub and his family address some of the unexpected costs that have arisen during this difficult time.
