My handsome son Jasiel Jose is 9 years old and he was born with some health conditions like tetralogy of fallot in which he had various openheart surgerys. He also suffers from Hemolytic Anemia which now leaves him in a hospital. As some of you may already know, on Friday March 4th, My handsome son Jasiel suffered from a cardiac arrest at AdventHealth Children Hospital and left him in critical conditions. On Thursday March 3rd at almost 3 in the morning he woke me up to take him to the hospital because he wasn’t feeling good and felt super dizzy and than we took him to Celebration Hospital; they did blood work, and they knew that his Hemoglobin was very low, on 3. At the celebration hospital they were going to start his first blood transfusion and he started having troubles breathing. From there they transported him to AdventHealth ChildrenHospital because he was still having trouble breathing. When he got to the hospital he had gotten his first blood Transfusion and his hemoglobin continued to stay on 3. The doctor thought his hemoglobin was lower than 3 because his first blood transfusion didn’t increase his hemoglobin. After the second blood transfusion he continued to struggle with breathing and that’s when he started hallucinating and saying things like “ mom give me the screw driver “ “ look the train I can’t catch it “ and the last thing he said was “ after that I’m going to space “ and than he had the seizure and he rested for 15 minutes. They had given him CPR and he was not responding so that’s when they doctors told me that they were going to give him a defibrillation shock and they revived him. After he came to life he was intubated. While he was rested his organs were very affected; his brain got swollen, his liver and his only kidney were not functioning properly. They put him on dialysis for his kidney and he was connected to a ECMO machine that helped him with his heart. His blood pressure was going up and down. His recovery is going to take a little longer than usual; it’s going to take time. BABY STEPS! With God by his side, I know he will get up and come out of this battle like he always has.
