UPDATE 8/10/24
Jarrett fought a courageous battle. His strength and perseverance was so amazing to see. Although Jarrett is free from pain, we are heartbroken to update you all that Jarrett is now in heaven… hopefully enjoying a beautiful view. We are so grateful for all of the love and support.
Please do not feel like you need to donate, but if you are wanting to, the funds will be used to help with getting caught up from the last few months and months ahead.
……………………..
A few days ago, we met with the transplant team in St Louis. We have some hopeful news! There are some matches on the registry! From here, the doctor will review them, and also look at testing Jarrett’s oldest daughter. Things will move pretty fast once the donor is selected so the transplant could be happening very soon.
The overwhelming part from the appt— Jarrett will be hospitalized for about 3 weeks and then will have to stay in St Louis for 100 days due to the risk of developing graft verses host disease. I have to be his care giver. Kids are not allowed at the lodging they have available and Jarrett can not stay there by himself.
Hello. My name is Anna Fuller. I have known Kelli (Case) Shultz, Jarrett’s wife, my entire life. As you all know, Jarrett has been undergoing cancer treatments for a few months and is currently waiting for huge prayers to be answered so he can receive a stem cell transplant this Summer. The treatments have begun to wear him out enough that he is unable to work. Kelli has been his caretaker; taking him back and fourth to his chemo appointments, countless doctor appointments, keeping everything in order, all while being an amazing mom to Allie and Jase.
Right now they could all use your help if you feel inclined. With Jarrett unable to work, bills will begin to pile up and taking any financial burden off of them, would be a welcomed breath.
Asking for help can be such a difficult thing to do, but I firmly believe that there will always be a time in life that a person needs some weight lifted off their shoulders.
Anything is welcomed. From a card in the mail to a donation to prayers; whatever you feel led to do, please know they all appreciate more than they could ever express.
