Chris 1st became ill around April 16th, by Saturday the 20th he was uncontrollably vomiting. He was transported to Preston Memorial hospital where he was immediately transferred to the VA Hospital in Clarksburg, WV. He was diagnosed with pneumonia and within 24 hours he was placed on life support and put into a medically induced coma. He was also diagnosed with pancreatitis, among other infections in his entire body. His condition worsened and he remained on a ventilator for 7 days. He was transferred to Pittsburgh VA Medical Center a week later. Chris has been extremely ill for almost 6 weeks and I have been with him almost 24/7 except for 3 times equalling 5 days away from his side. Sadly without an income coming in our monthly bills and daily needs have literally drained our bank account. I'm so excited for Chris to regain his health but I understand that he still has a long recovery in the hospital then equally long time in physical, occupational, and speech therapy.
