Since graduating from UNC in May of 2018, I have been working where I feel God has called me – the classroom. I have been given the awesome opportunity to show the love of Christ to 19 little kindergarteners each and every day. My kids mean the absolute world to me, and I can tell God placed me at this school, with those specific kids for so many reasons.
Looking towards my summer, plan after plan fell through and I felt God tug on my heart – this time He was calling me out to the nations. After much prayer and guidance, I have an incredible opportunity to follow God’s calling on my life to Kenya for a short term missions trip July 25th through August 4th!
While there, I will have the opportunity to work on ministry projects with families living on 30 cents a day. We will be building dairy cow facilities, digging pipelines, painting schools and many other things. I will also be visiting the Uhuru Academy to visit with students of these families to participate in life skills lessons, lead field day activities and hold discussion groups.
I will worship alongside students and attend a Bible study to further dive into God’s word and how it can apply to our lives. This is a venture that I am beyond excited to start. God has been so faithful to me at every turn, and I am excited to see what He has in store.
I am fervently working to raise support and would love if you partnered with me to help reach the nations! You can support me by praying over the people I will cross paths with on this trip. Pray that they would have open hearts to the Gospel, and that God would give me his words to speak his truth and love.
