Jarred Rome Memorial Fund

Jarred D. Rome, born December 21 1976, passed away unexpectedly on September 21 2019 near his hometown of Marysville, WA. He was an amazing young man who had a way of connecting with everyone he ever met. Jarred's passion for helping and developing young athletes was evident in his work as a Division I coach and as the Director of Iron Wood Thrower Development Camp. The Iron Wood Thrower Development Camp exists to provide each participant with the opportunity to optimize their athletic potential and improve their physical and mental preparedness for scholastic competition and beyond. This camp offers 'world-class' instruction in the four throwing events of Track and Field: Discus, Hammer, Javelin, and Shot Put. Friends, family and Throwing were his life and we would like to remember him by allowing others to have the experiences that made him who he was.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Jarred Rome Memorial Fund where the funds will be used for the Iron Wood Thrower Development Camp, a non-profit organization which offers scholarships to children less fortunate. The recipients are chosen every year based on financial need and their personal situations. The funds will directly be managed by Iron Wood Thrower Development Camp.
