JARRAH’S JOURNEY
At age two, Jarrah has recently been diagnosed with a very rare and incurable genetic neurodegenerative disorder called Ataxia Telangiectasia, also known as ‘AT’.
The symptoms of AT are best described as the worst parts of cerebral palsy, cystic fibrosis and muscular dystrophy, with a high risk of cancer and lung disease.
There is currently no cure for AT and Jarrah’s condition will slowly worsen over time.
As a family, surrounded by our supportive family, friends and community, we are dedicated to finding a cure for this condition, not only for Jarrah but for the other forty families in Australia that are on their own journeys with this condition.
