We are looking for community support to send Jaroslav, "Jerry," home safely after a tragic accident. Jerry is a hardworking J-1 student from the Czech Republic, who has spent his summer working in the kitchen at the Galley Hatch, becoming a key member of our team.

On Wednesday, August 30th, Jerry experienced a life altering encounter when he was struck by a drunk vehicle while walking back to his temporary residence after a long day of work. This horrific accident resulted in massive skull fractures and severe lacerations, leaving him fortunate to be alive.

Jerry is not just an employee at the Galley Hatch; he quickly became a cherished member of our community, known for his strong work ethic and warm personality.

We are reaching out to the compassionate hearts of our community and beyond to help Jerry on his path to healing and ensure his safe return home, a nine hour flight away. Your donations will provide the emotional support he needs during this difficult time, time he is taken away from work and been left with no source of income.
