Hi, I'm Stephanie Buxton. Jared LeBlanc is my brother. He was in an accident on 3/30/2025. He was at home working on a boat that was on a trailer. He was under the boat working on it, and the entirety fell on top of his chest and abdomen, crushing him. He suffered a ruptured spleen, which ended in an emergency splenectomy; a laceration of the right kidney, which was operated on and corrected; a blood transfusion due to loss of blood; a punctured lung, which led to a chest tube that has since been removed; and a damaged liver as well. His kidneys and liver are currently not functioning properly. Dialysis was started in the first few days after the accident with no specific time frame on how long it will last. He was transported to Ochsner's in New Orleans for further care of his liver and kidneys. There is no approximation of the length of his hospitalization nor recovery at this time, but we do expect it to be lengthy. Donations will help with expenses incurred with family traveling and staying out of town to be with him. They will also help with any other bills that arise as we don't anticipate his return to work any time soon.
