Tragedy struck our family when on Tuesday, May 4th, our sweet Jared was taken away too soon. Like so many, Jared struggled with addiction. Last summer he entered rehab, embraced it with his whole heart, and successfully completed the entire program. We all thought the worst was behind him.
Like many in recovery understand, relapse can occur. Jared never returned to using like he had in the past, and yet, this one occurance on May 4th he did not know that the Percocet he was given was laced with Fentanyl.
Anyone who knew Jared may not have been aware of his addiction as that did not define the man that he was becoming. He was a caring soul that kept his depression and addiction hidden in order to keep those around him happy. He had dreams and goals he was working towards, he was working hard and adjusting extremely well. He will never get the chance to accomplish those goals, this has left his family devastated. Jared was nothing but kind, generous, and extremely thoughtful of all he loved and cared for. He gave freely to others without any expectations.
It would be hard to find a family of three brothers, Daniel, Jared, and Eric who were closer and truly loved and enjoyed each other. They all had an extremely close bond with each other and their mom, Becky. There was no limit to what they would have done for one another. This is a loss that will be felt by them for many years to come.
It was his older brother Daniel and his younger brother Eric who found Jared in their home. The events of May 4th were extremely traumatic. Becky, Daniel, and Eric will need time and help while they attempt to grieve this enormous loss. We're asking for your for Jared's final expenses and to assist Becky, Daniel, and Eric during this time. Any help is so greatly appreciated.
