Jared’s journey fighting T1D started just over one year ago. Our family and friends know that he almost lost this fight because we didn’t even know what he was fighting until it was almost to late! I thank God every day that he is still here with us!!! Knowing the diagnoses and what he is fighting is power to push through and win the fight every day! Living with T1D is a challenge and can be VERY scary!! He is insulin dependent (I am very thankful for insulin) however the very thing that saves his life can be the very thing that could take it!! Insulin is wonderful but if something goes wrong with his dosage or if his suger drops to low to quick..... well, it isn’t good! I am so proud of him! He is so strong and such a fighter! to manage it and be healthy and happy. There is ALWAYS the fear of what could happen... Jared and I are asking for your help to add one more soldier to his fight!!! We need your help to raise money for the purchase of a diabetic alert dog!! These dogs are highly and specially trained to know when blood glucose levels go to high or to low!! Jared is a very active boy that plays many sports, this physical exertion causes his blood sugar to drop. It is hard for him to know if he is feel symptoms of low blood sugar or just fatigued. The dog would be able to alert him when he is getting to critical levels to keep him from going unconscious. His new friend and guardian would be able to go every where with him, school, football & lacrosse practice and any other events! The dog will alarm Jared to check his sugar and take action in whatever way is needed so nothing bad can happen to my sweet boy!!! Please help if you can, any donation will help!!
