On November 29, Jared was on his way home from a double at work around 1:30am. Unfortunately he was in a freak accident, his beloved truck rolled a few times, was trifolded and left Jared ejected about 75ft from his vehicle. He was on his way home, and was on a road not many travel late at night and it was a miracle he was found. He was found conscious by first responders as the ambulance was called by someone driving by and noticed his truck, and he was rushed to the hospital. The paramedics and police were able to contact his parents at about 3:30 that morning. His injuries consisted of a laceration on the back of his head, a collapsed lung, a large laceration on his liver, and a laceration on his aorta, both causing internal bleeding. There were multiple complications paired with the internal damage. Up to date, we do not know the full extent of the damage, as the doctors, nurses and surgeons have been working very hard. He arrived at his first hospital and had his initial procedure done, where they were able to identify most of the damage and put him on a ventilator to stabilize him and help with the pain. He was then air vacked to another hospital where there are more experienced surgeons who specialize in heart surgery.

It’s been one miracle after another, and we keep praying for them. His family appreciates everyone’s want and willingness to help in this situation. First and foremost, we ask and appreciate everyone’s prayers, as we believe God has been watching over Jared this entire time, and we know the Lord will continue to do so. We know this journey of recovery will be a long one, as he’s currently in the hospital having medical procedures done, and will need on going medical care. Because of the upcoming medical expenses that Jared’s treatment will require, we have created this account for people to be able to donate financially to assist with those medical costs.
