JARED is a raw, heartfelt short film about a Black man finally coming to terms with his truth. After a public breakdown at his soul-crushing job, Jared stumbles into a chance meeting that challenges him to stop hiding and take the first step toward self-acceptance and new love. This is a story we rarely get to see, centered on a plus-size, working-class, Black man navigating the intersections of masculinity, identity, and desire.
