If you know Jared, you know adventure. Whether it's hiking, skiing, climbing, or camping, Jared is always outdoors making friends with a smile on his face. Early last month, Jared was involved in a serious injury that resulted in a broken femur and serious spinal cord injury, resulting in the paralysis of both legs. After extensive surgery, he has been working hard in rehab for over a month gaining strength, and learning new skills including catheterizing, bowel care, and pressure relief. He hopes to return home soon, but after the injury, serious changes need to be made to help facilitate independence at home in this next chapter. Jared makes connections wherever he goes, and has introduced many of us to new friends and activities. His dinners and game nights are legendary, and his close friends are more like family. He has built a wonderful community and now it is our turn to support Jared.
