On October 24, 2023, our sweet Jared passed away surrounded by his family after a year long battle with cancer. Jared was a character and everyone who knew him loved his infectious smile and silly personality. He enjoyed trapshooting, spending time outdoors, animals and just about anything to do with cars. He loved spending time with his family - especially his two nephews who will miss him terribly.

Over the past year, Jared never let his treatments or hospital stays damper his mood. He was always joking with the nurses at the hospital, getting in on all of the good gossip and tried to make light of such a dark illness. He was a warrior and fought until the end.

We did not expect his story to end this way and his death was unexpected. As you know, funeral cost are very expensive and the family could use our help. Any donations made will be given to the family to help defray funeral cost. The funeral home will also accept donations in person or through the mail at Auble-Gillman Funeral Home, 360 West Sunset Drive, Rittman, Ohio 44270.
