A group of high school seniors got together 30 years ago - a group that made their final year of high school pretty special. On April 5th of this year, that group lost one that should have outlived them all.
Jared, we struggle to account for all the times you showed us true friendship. Our hearts ache to know you aren't with us anymore. We can hardly bear the thought of your sweet family soldiering on without you. We feel helpless to fill the hole left by your absence, and powerless to make right what cannot be fixed.
Yet, we know we must act - must do something, take a step or two toward making your family's exquisite burden the smallest bit lighter. Scripture instructs us not to forget the widow, the fatherless, to take them into our hearts, and make their challenges our own.
We will not fail you, brother. Rest in peace until we meet again.
Please consider contributing something to the Gustafson family. Anything you can give will go to the children’s future education expenses and other needs.
