Jared Fredrickson’s Road to Recovery

My name is Madeline, I’m the sister and sister-in-law of Casio and Jared Fredrickson. Jared was in a motorcycle accident on May 1, 2026, while on his annual Red Rock Recovery Ride, celebrating his sobriety with his brothers in recovery. Jared was acting to avoid a car accident that was occurring in front of him on State Road 59 in Hurricane, Utah, when he clipped one of the vehicles and ultimately swerved off the road and was thrown from his bike (more information featured on this news story if you want to read it: https://www.stgeorgeutah.com/news/highway-patrol-high-speed-attempt-to-pass-on-sr-59-likely-caused-multi-vehicle-crash/article_0b3b36e3-a21d-4b77-bdb1-8e3f21ed9d48.html).

Jared has a broken neck, multiple fractures in his spine, and has been through one surgery with potentially more on the horizon to deal with the bleeding and overall damage caused by the impact of the accident. He is currently in Intermountain Health’s St. George Regional Hospital and is stable, but in a lot of pain and still working to regain feeling in his limbs and otherwise. He has a long road of recovery and rehab ahead of him. We are really grateful for the great care he is receiving from Intermountain Health. And we are grateful Jared survived this accident. He was wearing a helmet, and he is a very skilled rider- the two things we know saved his life.

Casio is currently down in St. George and the rest of their village is holding down the fort to ensure their two kids (Oliver and Allison) and fur baby (Max) have what they need at this time. We are all very uncertain what this means for their family right now, especially what it means for how long they may be in St. George while Jared focuses on healing. We currently anticipate they may have to live in St. George for at least the next month if not more. They are normally located in Millcreek, Utah, which provides additional strain to navigate what it means to live away from home and their normal support system in Northern Utah.

Jared is a dedicated father, a loving husband, a supportive son and brother, a good friend, and a hard worker. He is the primary source of income for their family, and truly loves his work as a real estate advisor. This accident is going to put him in a hard place, where he needs to sit back and focus on his recovery, when his norm is to focus on being present and available to his family and friends. I know first hand that Jared will do anything he can to help out his friends and family - there really isn’t an ask too big for his kind heart. Now is our opportunity to give back to him and rally around his recovery.

Jared and Casio will need help with medical bills and general living expenses - like bills, housing expenses, food, dog care, gas, etc. Every dollar helps while our family works to ensure that Jared can focus on recovery and healing. Thank you in advance for your generosity and love ❤️
