As many of you have heard, my brother-in-law, Jared Brown, was rushed to San Francisco by ambulance the day the tragic Camp Fire started. While we were very worried about the many impacted by the fire (including our own friends and family), and being evacuated from our homes, we were three hours away praying the mass they found on Jared would be something we could get pass. The mass turned out to be a massive tumor on Jared’s neck and brain stem. In fact, it was such a rare type of brain tumor that they have only had four of these cases in the last twenty-six years. This tumor had been causing Jared issues with his neck mobility and arm strength for years. Two surgeries later, Jared is doing very well, considering. Our family is beyond grateful and thankful for how these scary days played out for Jared. We also are looking forward to Jared recovering and getting his strength back so he can live his life normally again. However, the almost two-week stay in San Francisco, hospital bills, food, etc. has really added up. In addition, Jared still has a long recovery and many more expenses ahead of him between physical therapy, time off work, and frequent scans to make sure the tumor doesn’t return. I know many of you have reached out to my sister, Carly, asking how you could help. At this time, any financial assistance would be the most effective aid as Jared and Carly try to navigate through all this new territory. If you know Jared, you know he is one of the most upbeat, generous people in the world. He would do anything for anyone, and he often has for me personally over the last ten years I’ve known him. If anyone deserves assistance during this time, I believe without a doubt it is my brother Jared. He has been through enough without having money to worry about as well. Thank you for your help! Jared, Carly, and our family appreciate it more than you know!
