Jara's Apartment Fire

Hello everyone. I am writing this to inform you all of a major blow to a fine, upstanding member of our community today. Many of us know Jara and have interacted with him or one of his personas over the years. He's been a delight to have around, and has always been very helpful with many of us. Through the last 6 months since I've come back I've become very good friends with Jara and have gotten to know Chris, the man behind the scenes. Today I received some terrible news from Chris.

Chris' apartment complex went up in flames at about 5am this morning. The fire started in the unit directly below his. He suffered some severe burns to his hands and legs and lost everything in the fire. Unfortunately he did not have renters insurance. I hope we can pull together as a community and do what we can to get Chris back on his feet and get Jara back into our community.

If you can donate anything I'm sure it would go a long ways to providing some stability for Chris. His current immediate needs are a computer (not just for Gemstone, but because he's currently working remotely for his job), clothing (not sure on size yet, XL-ish), and food. If you can donate any items you can contact me and we'll work to get them to Chris, you can donate through here, or I'd be happy to provide my paypal address or his (he still has mobile access to most thing internet).
