Japan has one of the highest suicide rate in the world. This is an event to bring awareness to this problem through music, dance and the arts while giving a message of hope to the youth of Japan through the love of Jesus Christ
the NORTHERN THUNDER CHRISTIAN FESTIVAL JAPAN, to take place in Kita Ibaraki. This festival will be a first as it will be an openly Christian event, broadcast live, and reaching a worldwide audience via the internet. Japan is one of the least Christianized of the developed countries in the world and has a devastatingly high suicide rate. In an uncertain world when there are many people who are lost, without hope and have no dream for the future it is time to pull together and unite a lost generation. Through this event we will let them know that they are not alone. The time is now to bring the message of Christ’s love to a people searching for hope!
Appearing at our festival will be popular Christian singers, celebrities, speakers, and evangelists. Included in our line up are award winning Christian singing artists, special guest speakers from not just America but also Asia. There will also be biker clubs and martial arts demonstrations, to attract a wider audience. It will be extensively covered by Japanese television news stations, as well as filmed for a soon to be released documentary. The festival will be broadcast live worldwide via the internet. Our main reason for creating this event is to bring the message of Christ and show that there is an alternative to suicide and that God has a plan for our lives, and every living soul has value! This is a festival emphasizing God’s love and hope for our lives.
We have started a GO FUND ME campaign to cover the costs of making this festival the best it can be. We are writing you to prayerfully consider joining us in this ministry opportunity in Japan. We are currently needing $250K. 日本は先進国の中でも自殺が多い国のひとつです。年間の交通事故による死亡者数の三倍、二万人以上の人々が、自殺で亡くなっています。中でも若年層の自殺はいじめや家庭問題など原因が多様化し、その解決策がないのが現状です。
苦しみを抱えている若者たちを勇気づけ、生きることへの希望を持ってもらうために、来る10月27（土）～28日（日）に北茨城市で「ノース・サンダー・フェスティバル」を開催いたします。
多くの方々の力と知恵と愛情で、一人でも多くの若者たちに生きることの素清らしさ、そして力強く戦う気持を伝えたいと考えています。
当日、会場はみなさんに無料で開放いたします。会場運営費、国内外のミュージシャンの交通費など、総額で2500万円の予算が必要です。
ぜひ皆様のお力添えをいただきたく、募金を募っております。
なお、ご寄付いただいた方々へのお礼として、12月15日（土）に北茨城市でクリスマスパーティ（参加費無料）を開催致します。
