Jan's Cancer Medical Treatment

Hi my name is Jade and I am urgently seeking funds to help my Mum survive secondary Brain Cancer which requires urgent immunotherapy treatment which is not funded by any public or private health means. Mum is the strongest person I know but needs financial assistance to obtain this life-saving treatment. My Mum was first diagnosed with cancer in July 2017 - like most cancers, it was detected too late, already at an advanced stage and had metastasized in her chest and multiple lymph nodes.

After 2-years of gruelling chemotherapy and radiotherapy combined treatment, Mum finally went into remission. 2020, we learnt Mum had developed secondary cancer where multiple tumours formed in her brain and spine. After further immunotherapy, chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatment, including gamma knife radiotherapy, her tumours had reduced significantly and she had stunned her medical team with her response to such intense treatment, with her doctor's labelling her "their miracle patient".

Unfortunately, only a few weeks ago, we received the terrible news that Mum's brain cancer had returned, with three brain tumours detected, with dusting residue throughout her brain. In order for Mum to survive, she requires urgent chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatments, however, the cost of her treatments is not funded by the PBS. Mum needs to complete 13 sessions of both chemotherapy and immunotherapy in a hope to save her life. Each time she sits in a chair to receive her immunotherapy treatment, it costs $2,561 per session. With my Mum no longer able to work, drive or properly care for herself, my Dad has not been able to work consistently in order to care for Mum and as such, they are now in severe financial hardship, to the extent of nearly losing everything they have worked so hard for including Mum's life.

I am urgently asking for help to source funds in any amount to assist in the funding of my Mum's life-saving treatment - without these treatments, she will lose this battle to this terrible disease.
