Independence for Jan Maka

Jan Maka is 57 years old living in the southeast of Poland.  In recent months he has been suffering from Buerger's disease.  The disease first appeared in one of his toes and doctors in Poland did not know how to treat it.  Over time, the disease progressed significantly, resulting in a double amputation of his legs at his thighs. He is imobile, lives alone and has no family there to care for him.  A friend from a neighboring town checks on him once a week, but otherwise he is left to fend for himself. He receives a meager pension of about $200 a month which is barely enough to cover his medicine, utility bills and food. His sister here in the United States is desperately seeking the kindness and generosity of compassionate people as she does not have the financial means to help him.  Prosthetic legs will cost about $8,000-$10,000.  Won't you please open your heart to help Jan regain some independence?

i w ogromnym cierpieniu, choroba posłuneła się
tak daleko że konieczne było amputowanie nogi.  Po nie długim czasie, choroba zaatakowała drugą nogę którą
też trzeba było amputować.  Pan Jan jest samotny i nie ma nikogo kto mógłby się nim zaopiekować. Siostra Pana Jana w Chicago nie jest w stanie mu pomoc finansowo. Zwraca się z gorącą prośbą do ludzi dobrego serca o pomoc w zakupie protez żeby jej brat mógł się samodzielnie poruszać. Dziekuję.
