En Memoria de Janitza Lee Figueroa Molina

Escribo esto con profunda tristeza. Nuestra hermana, nuestra colega ~ compañera rescatista, Jeannette y su familia han sufrido una gran pérdida.

Ayer falleció su sobrina de 27 años. Sufrió un derrame cerebral masivo. Ella vivía en los Estados Unidos sin familia.

Jeannette y su familia la quieren traer de regreso a Puerto Rico. Perdieron una hija, una nieta, una sobrina, una hermana, una prima y una amiga.

Como muchos de ustedes sabrán o quizás no, es costoso transportar sus restos de regreso a la isla. Entre el transporte y los gastos funerarios, la familia necesita $5,200.00. Adjunto se encuentra una copia del presupuesto de la funeraria.

Conocer a Jeannette es amarla. Ella es desinteresada y siempre antepone las necesidades de los demás a las suyas, especialmente las de nuestros animales abandonados en la isla.

Ayudemos a Jeannette a traer los restos de su sobrina a su lugar de nacimiento y permitámosles decir su último adiós con dignidad.

I write this with profound sadness. Our sister, our colleague ~ fellow rescuer, Jeannette and her family have suffered great loss.

Her 27 year old niece passed away yesterday. She suffered a massive stroke. She was living in the United States with no family.

Jeannette and her family want to bring her back home to Puerto Rico. They lost a daughter, a grandchild, a niece, a sister, a cousin and a friend.

As many of you may know or perhaps may not know, it is costly to transport her remains back to the island. Between the transport and the funeral expenses, the family will need $5,200.00. Attached is a copy of the estimate from the funeral home.

To know Jeannette is to love her. She is selfless and always puts the needs of others before her needs, especially for our abandoned animals on the island.

Let's help Jeannette bring her niece's remains back to her birth place and allow them to say their final goodbyes with dignity.
