My name is Sean. Janis was my mother. More than that. She was my rock. My place of happiness and warmth. She was the very world to my mentally ill younger sister. She was...a source of brightness and light to all who knew her. She worked at a Veterinary clinic for almost 30yrs. Giving comfort and warmth and love, to both animal and human alike. Before that she was a nanny, an animal lover who worked in a pet shop and in the beginning.. a nurse. She left us this past weekend and I and my sister are devastated and in need of aid. To pay the costs. to keep a roof over our heads, while I deal with the aftermath and settle accounts get everything done.

While I after that, find work again. after so long staying home to mind first, my father for years as he rode the spiral into dementia and some physical impairment and finally death a few years ago. Now these last few years, my sister.

Finding work at my age, will be somewhat difficult. of this I'm certain. I hope that I am proven wrong. I'm not going to give up, I'm going to find something. I just have to deal with THIS first. For that I need time, to buy that time, I need funds to keep afloat. To pay the funeral home for the cremation. something now in jeopardy due to A. the joys of a relative's bank not recognizing mom's for a direct transfer and B. well they tried to mail it overnight. US Postal being what it is.....my family calls this with some humor, The Gartlan Luck.

I am, after this week of hell which seems never ending in sorrow, at my wits end. So I come to you who have suggested this and others that might come across this plea.

As for a service? there will not be a funeral service, mom didn't want one. We are going to do a memorial, but for those who knew her, I don't have a notion as of when yet. Since the funeral home has informed me one of their 2 crematoriums is down and now they are backed up to a fare thee well. So even with paying them with the funds I receive, getting mother back will be delayed.
