Janie's Last High School Freestyle Wrestling Season

Hello, my name is Janie Houser and I am a senior at Aptos High school. I have been wrestling all through high school and I am making this fundraiser in an effort to help cover expenses for this year's freestyle wrestling season. During the high school folkstyle season, I am fortunate to have my high school cover all my wrestling expenses. Such as tournament entries, hotel rooms, travel, uniform, ect. However, when the high school wrestling season is over, freestyle season adds up quickly and it gets expensive to compete at my level. Recently, I was selected to represent California at National duels in Oklahoma. That is when a couple girls for each weight class are selected to be on a team that wrestles against the other states in the nation. The cost for that national trip alone is about $1900. In previous years I have qualified to represent California at Nationals in North Dakota; I plan on qualifying again this year. That trip is about $2000. Coming up, I am attending U20 nationals in the state of Washington. Besides the national tournaments I have planned, I am also attending state level tournaments like Freestyle state, Greco State, Association duels, and maybe a few others. All of these wrestling tournaments have entry fees, plane tickets, hotel stays, and uniforms if I am representing a team. I am reaching out to try and help my family with the cost.
