JaNiece's 2023 Study Abroad Opportunity
Donation protected
Hi, my name is JaNiece, and I am currently a junior studying at Imhotep Charter High School. I was recently accepted into a study abroad program called Project Kujichagulia a mission for Global Health. During this experience, I will have the opportunity to strengthen my research skills and raise awareness of water purification and its connection to pollution in the environment. Our 3D print will require research, manufacturing water filters, testing the analysis of water filters and advocacy through social media. Travel is essential to me as a life experience through cultural awareness and diversity, which will help form the foundation for my future.
The program is run by Shirley Posey and Imhotep Charter High School and supported by teachers and leaders at my high school. We will depart New York on May 20th, 2023 and arrive in Accra, Ghana for 10 days. The cost of attendance is about $2000 after airfare and food costs. Your donation will help with tuition, travel, and housing fees, book purchases, and meal plans. Please consider making a small donation to help me fund this trip and participate in this once-in-a-lifetime experience. Your support is greatly appreciated. Thank you so much!
