As a Research Associate Professor of Ophthalmology in the Casey Eye Institute at Oregon Health & Science University, Dr. Vranka’s professional goals included helping to identify therapeutic targets to treat glaucoma. This year, at far too young an age, Janice suffered a rapid onset and progression of metastatic breast cancer. She passed away August 26th, at home with her husband Kennedy and their two daughters.

This Go Fund Me was established on behalf of Janice’s loving family to help with her final expenses and the financial upheaval that comes with unexpected life changes.

There will be a remembrance for Janice in early October.
