On behalf of our family, we are heartbroken to share the sudden loss of our Mother, Janice Rufer, on Tuesday, March 26th, 2024.

Her passing has been especially hard on our dad, Edward.

Janice and Ed have been together since 1973. He was by her side that day, as he had been for the past 51 years.

This has been such an unbelievable shock to our family. We are finding ourselves overwhelmed at the emotional toll and now, as we begin the process of arranging her funeral, the financial costs as well.

As we plan her funeral, the costs have added another layer of stress to this devastating time.

Janice’s services will be held: 

Thursday April 4th from 4:00-8:00pm at Garden Chapel 885 El Camino Real, South San Francisco, Ca 94080 and 

Friday April 5th from 10:00am-12:00pm at Garden Chapel 885 El Camino Real, South San Francisco, Ca 94080 with funeral immediately following. She will be laid to rest at Cypress Lawn in Colma.

We now find ourselves humbly asking for your assistance.

The costs have reached approximately $30,000 at this point. We are hoping to raise enough to cover this cost and perhaps have a small amount leftover to help our Dad as he navigates his new reality without the love of his life.
