Janeth Romo Memorial Fund

Writing this is difficult.  During the course of last evening, our colleague and friend, Ricardo Romo, lost his lovely wife Janeth. 

I never had the pleasure of meeting Janeth, but I learned she fought the good fight over ten years ago beating back ovarian cancer and lived cancer free for more than a decade.  These last several years included Janeth and Ricardo adopting and bringing their little girl Daisy into their lives, whom they clearly loved and were over the moon about.  Sadly, in the last weeks, Janeth again began a hard struggle living with the ugly realities of cancer that ultimately took this lovely lady from our world much too soon and on her birthday.  Her tough will and determination are not in question, as she certainly fought once again to remain strong and present for both Daisy and Ricardo.

As a teacher, Janeth was willing to lend her knowledge and experiences to her students. As a Chicago Bulls fan, she was as capable as anyone to endure the highs and lows of supporting a Team and she never got bored of getting a hug from Benny The Bull.

These funds will be used by Ricardo to help with the costs of laying Janeth to rest and making himself available for Daisy these next several weeks.

Our admiration for Janeth our warmest thoughts and profound sympathy go out to Ricardo, Daisy and the entire Romo Family during this sad and difficult time.
