Janet's "Cells Gone Wild" Fund
Donation protected
Five years ago my dear friend, Janet was diagnosed with endometrial cancer. After surgery it was believed that the entire mass had been removed and there was no need for further treatment. Then last December she noticed a lump in her abdomen while tucking in her shirt. Then she noticed another lump. After doctors visits, lab work, an MRI and biopsy, it was confirmed that the cancer had returned, and was in numerous locations in her abdomen. The cancer is not operable, so treatment is chemotherapy. As Janet says, the prognosis is "Meh", but she is a determined fighter! Many of Janet's friends have asked how they can help. While Janet and her husband, Dwain, are the type of "Mainers" that would never ask for monetary help, I know they could truly benefit from some. They are living on a small, fixed income, and Janet is not elidgable for Medicare for another year. She does have insurance through the Affordable Care Act (for now), but there are deductibles, co-pays, and travel expenses to get back and forth to treatment. If you would like to donate something to help Janet through this challenging time, please do. Any amount is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
