Janet Liou-Mark Scholarship Fund
Donation protected
(September 7, 2020) It is with sadness and peace that I inform you that my mom went to be with the Lord late this evening, on September 6th. She passed peacefully, with my dad, my brother, and me by her side. The memorial service will be this Saturday, September 12th at 9am at Rutgers Community Christian Church. Please feel free to contact me (Brittany) if you would like more information.
In this time of mourning, we ask that you respect my mother's wishes by donating to this fund, rather than sending gifts or flowers.
Thank you for your love to my family and for your prayers. We thank our Lord that even in our sorrow, we know that to be with Him is far better. Whoever believes in Him, though we die, yet we live.
(September 1, 2020) My mom's birthday is today, September 1st. In expected Janet fashion, she has requested that in lieu of all flowers and gifts, money be donated to the New York City College Of Technology Foundation (City Tech Foundation). The money will specifically go towards their Peer Led Team Learning (PLTL) program, which she established at the college. PLTL trains students to become caring and capable peer leaders, to support other students, and to be encouraged in their own studies.
Thank you all for your love to my mother and to my family. We are truly so grateful for the generous kindness, encouragement, and love. Even in times of darkness, the tremendous love that we are shown reminds us that life prevails because of Christ; we are blessed to share in His triumph.
