Hi! We are a group of level 6 Film and TV students looking to raise money for an exhibition.
Janet Samson is unfortunately no longer with us, yet has left a plethora of incredible pieces of art behind. Her husband, Peter is working with us on a documentary about Janet's life & artwork. We are wanting to put on an exhibition of her work as a thanks to Peter, and a perfect culmination to our documentary!
A little bit about Janet -
- Janet was an incredible artist
- She resided in Doncaster
- She suffered with Schizophrenia
- She had two kids with Peter
- She studied in Manchester art school
- Her artwork is predominatly observational
It would mean a lot to us if we could raise enough money to host the exhibition, as her artwork certainly deserves more recognition. It would be incredible if we could provide this through our exhibit of her work. Our goal is 150 GBP, which will cover the two days of the exhibition, being hosted at workstation in Sheffield city centre!
Any more donations we receive beyond our goal will be put towards charities related to Schizophrenia and mental wellbeing.
